The Calgary Flames have just won there fourth straight game in O.T versus the San Jose Sharks. Jarome Iginla had a two point game racking up a goal and a assist, making the flames captain the first star. The question now is with such a tight race for eighth place will the Flames make the cut? The pieces seem to be there with Kiprusoff playing solid net and a surging Iginla and a trending Matt Stajan. Will this team be able to overcome L.A, Colorado and San Jose? I believe that they are capable of it and will end up in a playoff spot. Where do you think Calgary will end up?

Recently I have noticed that NHL games are more frequently going to shootouts. Normally I would enjoy to see two teams go to a shootout but I began to realize what was once the most thrilling thing in a game has lost its zest. Three point games are becoming more frequent leading to the less exciting all or nothing endings. Should the NHL introduce a two point system or keep it the way it is? What do you think?
